Niagara
The picturesque Niagara Region is located between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie in southern Ontario. Niagara, which covers 1896 sq. km (715 sq. miles), is made up of 12 unique and distinct local municipalities.
The self-proclaimed “Garden City†of St. Catharines has some esteemed wineries and bounty of activities.
The famous Horseshoe Falls, located within Niagara Falls, attracts millions of visitors each year. The city is also filled with a myriad of entertaining amusement centres, from chilling houses of horror and sideshow museums to the sophisticated Casino Niagara.
Welland, home of the engineering marvel Welland Canal, welcomes tens of thousands to its annual summer food festival.
Niagara-on-the-Lake was one of Ontario’s first settlements, but now attracts thouands to the Shaw Festival Theatre, as well as to its many boutiques and antique shops.
