Niagara Jazz FestivalSt. Catharines is the entertainment capital of Niagara!

From professional and amateur theatre, fine art and contemporary art galleries, Canadian performing artists, Jazz, Motown, contemporary rock bands to major festivals and events year round.

Popular events like the Niagara Grape and Wine festival which produces events such as New Vintage Niagara, the Niagara Wine Festival and the Ice Wine Festival, Canada Day celebrations in historic downtown and in Port Dalhousie or cultural festivals like May’s Niagara Folk Arts Festival, August’s Royal Canadian Henley Regatta, free summer evening concerts in Montebello Park and Ribfest - featuring the “Blues” and Ribs!

For the young and adventurous, July has one of the hottest events of the in the music world - S.C.E.N.E., the St. Catharines Event for New Music, takes over multiple downtown venues and welcomes all ages with one admission price and over 100 bands, from 4pm to midnight.

In Port Dalhousie, enjoy the Theatre in Port at the Port Mansion Theatre/Restaurant with the Henley Regatta waterways forming a scenic backdrop. The Bard will beckon you to the vineyards of St. Catharines - “Shakespeare in the Vineyard” will be onstage and alongside the fragrant grapevines of Henry of Pelham Winery for two weekends in July.

The autumnal colours of St. Catharines warm the heart for a delightful evening of classical sounds - the Niagara Symphony Orchestra has both Pops and Classics series with outstanding guest performers, a dynamic musical programme, and all under the sure-handed baton of Music Director Daniel Swift.

The ever-popular Chorus Niagara, a 100-voice choir, celebrate their new season under the leadership of Robert Cooper, recently appointed a Member of the Order of Canada for his achievements in music.

The Niagara Artists’ Company is an artist-run centre in downtown St. Catharines that provides edgy contemporary art exhibits and installations, along with regular exhibits by Niagara artists.

Rodman Hall Arts Centre, Brock University is a public art gallery housed in the historic Thomas Rodman Merritt House, presenting the work of local, national and international artists in a series of year-round exhibits.
